Quick Question....

Once you reserve the hotel room in advance, do they charge you straight away or only when you check in?

Only at check out.
My hotel room's been reserved for weeks and there hasn't been any charge on my credit card.
I've been going for a few years now and it's always been that way.

20 tables for B&B hobby a little much...... I went on there website
same as most online hobby shops.. Mega hobby would been
better dealer choice.
Nostalgia can be a bad thing, especially when you are led by it.

But can you see and touch stuff at an online store?
What I have heard during and after each JF is many
people LOVING the fact that B&B are there. It's a
great opportunity to stock up on things you need,
want, AND didn't know existed.

Anyway, does Mega Hobby even DO shows?

Totally agree.
B&B is a big draw for a lot of us at JF and there's always something on display you need and usually things you didn't even know about.
I always buy something from him even if it's just CA glue, applicators and accelerator.

As for the 20 tables, they are his tables and display racks.
He actually sets up outside the main dealers room so as not
to take up so much space in the room. Works perfectly for
JF producers, B&B, and the customers... Win, win, & win!!!

B&B is a major contributor at Jerseyfest every year. He’s always been a big hit with modelers and does very well at the show. He’s an asset to the show and we all thank him for working so hard each year and setting up an amazing display.
Looking forward to stocking up on some much needed supplies.

Whats a Scuzzfink? Someone that doesn't have it in him to get out there and contribute to the hobby. Just another guy complaining about other peoples hard work. Actually complaining that a vendor brings too much product? I cant even take this fool serious when he says something that idiotic. Like Professor Caruso said, try doing something yourself and see how it turns out. However I get the feeling that will never happen

I think they take the card for incidentals and things like that. I paid for a bunch of rooms and did not get billed until check out also

They charge at check out.
They only hold a certain amount as Rob stated for incidentals.

Ha! Shows what you know. I take those snazzy towels. ;)

They charged for one day when I checked in. I was there for two nights. They charged the second night upon check out. I’d say just call the hotel to find out for sure. :)

I for one probably spend an hour, if not more of my JF weekend perusing B&B Hobby's tables in the hallway (perfect location by the way). I always come away with purchases I probably would never have thought to have invested in if I were browsing a site. To me, its all part of the hobby and JF experience.

Good one susan! lol

Believe.....totally agree with that experience. After a while, i go back again and cant believe there are things that i miss. It has gotten to the point where i think of stuff while i am building and say, "i could use...XYZ." I end up writing it down so i dont forget, when i get there i then buy from him.
