So, one of the things I use to collect years ago was original comic book art. Have entirely too much but a few real gems in the collection. If you have anything interesting then share it here. I will start with one that is a real joy for me and very rare to find as he didn't do a ton of stuff that was ever for sale.
I wish I had access to some of the original art I most admire - Mike Ploog's stuff from Ghost Rider, Werewolf-By-Night and Man-Thing - but they are under lock-and-key by various collectors and would take a fortune to prise from their grips.
Good for you for getting stuff you wanted, when you could
Here are some of my best original art.
First is this beauty i finally sold a few years ago (regrets). One of the best i ever seen from Gene Colan.
Then, Conan by Big John Buscema.
A complete 6 pages story by one of my ever fave artist Gil Kane.
A grail for me. Owning Bernie Wrightson art.
Fantastic cover by Jordi Bernet. A Black and White master.
Beautiful colored art commission by Azpiri
Also, this one is not original artwork, but one of the best Wrightson ever did called Toccata and fugue. Huge print art signed and numbered.
I'm also very proud to be the owner of this extraordinary one of a kind sculpt by very talented Shiflett brothers
way too many in my collection as well! The treasure trove's
avail at the NYCC's of the 70's when pages weren't asking for
college tuition's! Awwww da good ol' days!
My favorites are the Enemy Ace done by Joe Kubert and a page
of Gil Kane's Star Hawks strip.
Yes, that’s Campbells Danger Girl. I love a sequence where no word balloons are required. With that Bachalo does a great job here; underrated artist IMO.
