I got the idea to mount it on a glass mirror so that the lights would reflect back up onto the wall and not get absorbed by the base. My next thought was "wait a minute.... wouldn't that make it look like you were peering down into the basement?" When I put the model on top of the mirror and looked over the edge, my eyes couldn't comprehend what they were seeing.
You really need to move around to get the effect, so I posted a video of it on this page, along with more pics and info:
Spock beat me to it!
Well done, Tim. I knew you'd create a dynamite dio
That one sat around waaay too long, so I was happy when you bought it because I knew it would finally get built and painted.
Nice work Tim!
your diorama looks awesome.
I see this is the first version of Lon Chaney Sr. as Blizzard, that is the same kit version I bought years ago.

I thought there were two versions of the figure! I was looking for photos online and I came across a figure that looked a bit different.
I'm pretty sure Derek, whom I bought it from, said this was the actual model that was prepped for an article in Amazing Figure Modeler. At any rate, it sure was nice to not have to prep it myself!
