I know...puppet looks like a Kaiyodo 1985 version of Godzilla (in my geeK opinion.)bucketfoot-al wrote:I am always struck by how OBVIOUSLY different from the '62 Kong and Godzilla suits those two BADLY-animated puppets looked!! (They ought to have hired Ray Harryhausen to animate it for them .... but then the REST of the film would have looked pathetic as a result!!!)

Glad you axed!overspray wrote:I got a big 'kick' out of this!Sorry for the weak humor, but this is so cool. Great idea.
I'm not familiar with the kits - how much effort or time was spent on modifications? Was the base scratch built?
Cool Bill, what did you use for the figures? Oops I see you answered that already, never mind! That is why I really liked your name for this, so appropriate.monsterjones wrote: Godzilla vs Kong has several kits named appropriately : The Big Swing, The Big Munch, etc.

Mmmm, Kong is maybe 18cm? Pairs nicely with the Kaiyodo 1962 Godzilla 20cm (8 inches)dinofan62 wrote:Bill,
How tall is the Bandai King Kong.

Hi Jeff...thanks for asking...I added Aves epoxy putty inside the tail, and when it hardened, pinned it to the resin base.dinofan62 wrote:Bill,
Did you have to add a filler like resin to the hollow vinyl of Godzilla's tail to anchor it to the base and also so it could act as a counterweight to the Kong he is kicking?
I love these kitbashes. It is great to see a different take on the battle. Great concept and execution!
