Gillman’s production Exorcist trio

#1 Post by saulcuba66 »

Father Merrin

Finished painting the newest release from Gillman production’s latest bust on their Exorcist series, Father Lankester Merrin.
Bust Sculpted by Jeff Yagher and base by Mark Van Tine. Yagher once again sculpted an incredible likeness to actor Max von Sydow in his make up by the legendary Dick Smith.
The base compliments the bust perfectly with the face of Pazuzu (Captain Howdy) and the small artifact that was found by Merrin.
A big thank you to Paul Gill for the birthday gift and the extremely clean casting that he’s known for.
Glad I took a break today and finally painted something for myself. Well back to my back log of commissions.
Happy modeling everyone!

I've never watched the movie - but am always keen to look at anything Paul or Mark or Jeff or yourself are involved with.

Add all 4 of you together - what's not to like?

Amazing work by all involved - with the icing on the cake being that paintwork. Perfection as always.

Thanks for sharing Saul. We miss you round here bud.

Ian/Spike.

So much awesome in this post.

Great sculpts, great castings, and amazing paint slinging.
That first shot with all 3 of them together is just so cool to look at.

Thanks so much for sharing this.

Saul… it's wonderful. probably took you as long to paint that as it took me to sculpt it. Such care you take.
It really elevates the piece. Well done.

Awesome work Saul!
With the similar colors used, they all look like they belong together too, even if I didn't know that already. Really nice.
That drawing of Regan on the back is stunning as well.

I got to see these close up in the contest room at Jeresyfest. They are brilliantly painted and the sculpts are just amazing. Just fantastic all around!
