I think Fritz has almost entirely backed out of this community. He had some rough years, lots of misfortunes and strife, and I think he just felt like he needed to do things differently. Monz Designs now has rights to producing all of his kits, I believe.
Fritz has stayed in touch with a few people in the hobby crowd, but not many. I wrote a Resin the Barbarian profile of him in 2009 and stayed in touch with him for at least five years afterward. The last major hobby effort I remember him being involved with was launching Resintopia back in 2012. That obviously didn't go well.
My last communications with him were in 2017; he was in Connecticut. He was still available to make nameplates back then. His main leisure pastime was participating in historical re-enactments.
