T's Facto Godzilla Millennium 2 Commission #3!

#1 Post by Jon LeGrand »

My third commission of this kit. Here is a video, at the end it shows a comparison of the three commissions and how differently they were painted. The effect of the spines is just paint, not lights inside or anything.

That, good Sir, is frikkin' amazing - your colour choices and application make it seem like there is a series of LED's down his spine    =D> =D> =D>

ANOTHER wonderful buildup & paint of yours on yet ANOTHER wonderful sculpt from Takashi.

Thanks, I need to give credit to the client for the body, he wanted blue with white tips though, and I talked him into reversing it so it looked like Godzilla's heat was at his core. I like to do red fins that way too with bright yellow at the base and darker red as it gets to the tips.

It looks amazing Jon. Glad you talked him into this color scheme, you already did the blue with white tips. (quite well too). So nice that you get to do a different version.
The effect you achieved works amazingly well.
I also love the red color you worked into his underside. Very colorful scheme for Godzilla.
A nice change of pace from the same old, same old.

NO WAY JON.

There's absolutely NO WAY you will ever convince me that there are no LED lights inside the fins creating that light & color effect!!!! :mrgreen2:

Nice try, though. "Only paint" - Yeah, RIGHT!!!!

The whole paint job is great, but yes,
the fins really do look as if they are
lit from inside. Great Job Jon!!!
