You know Spike, Season 2, Ep 2 was so cool that when I actually watched it I didn't even notice the chairs ...
Now let's get to Season 2, Episode 3.
*OMG*
The first half - up til
*BANG*
happens - has to be my favorite one to date. My wife wondered who wrote this one - because it was so different from all the previous ones.
Takeaways:
1. Cutesy Sci/Fi "goes there" and its done SO WELL.
2. I am totally in Lt Singh's character's camp now. Chick is tough, she's cute, she's vulnerable - she won me over. (aka "You were right again, Spike"

)
3. Tiberius' actor finally "steps out" and delivers a tongue-in-cheek performance worthy of the original. Wanted that plot thread to continue to its conclusion instead of being cut off, but that would have required a 2-part episode (and would been even more crushing in the end for her) ...
4. The sci/fi aspect of the plot was not new, but (again as with everything in this series so far) was freshly and VERY well done. The one thing about this show that I would like to see are longer plot lines that take more than one episode to roll out, but Star Trek - Picard spoiled me in that regard. This one is more in line with the original Star Trek, and that's OK too.
The eye candy in terms of sets/cgi keeps on coming. The actors are doing a GREAT job and the characters are now fully developed ....
... and ...
... even though this episode was self-contained ... they'd BETTER follow up with ... SOMETHING ... in the vein of the first half of this episode in the future ... know what I mean Spike?
