I am so sorry to hear this news. I first found out about his condition yesterday. I knew the outlook wasn't good at all, but still held out a sliver of hope that he would pull through.
He will be sorely missed. He was big, he was loud, and he could talk your ear off if you gave him the opportunity. But he was also extremely nice, friendly, and smart. He was also a big supporter and cheerleader for this hobby. I spent many an hour in the hallways and lobby at WF talking with Rick. He was one of the few I remembered from my first trip to WF, and I always kept an eye out for him at every show. Loved to hear what he was up to, and what he was working on. It's going to be so different not seeing him at the show this year.
I am also lucky to own decent amount of his bases and such. As a matter of fact I even tagged him in the photos of the completed ones I just finished last month. I was wondering why he never commented, and now I know.
