Damsel (netflix)

#1 Post by Buc Wheat »

Someone talking about this over on the SSM board and I checked it out
last night.

Stars the girl who played 11 in Stranger Things. A different twist on the old
damsel vs dragon story.

Was ok. Enjoyed it.

Yeah - agreed. Was a good popcorn movie.

You REALLY have to switch your brain off throughout as regards the script/plot, but it's enjoyable enough, and had some great suspense in places.

Millie Bobby Brown proved her worth acting-wise, and was well-cast (I've not been a fan of her casting/acting in anything else except "Stranger Things").

Special effects were cool too.

One of those I'll likely end up watching again one day (I likes beasties!), but it'll be a while before I do.

It reminds me of "Ready Or Not".

Cool dragon

Too bad it was typical sappy stupid “superchick” storyline

I do hope someone makes a large sized kit of the dragon though!
See my model kit collection on YouTube Model Club TV Episode 86
See my kitbash work-in-progress pics in the Kustomizers section of the clubhouse
Thanks for looking !

I didn't think that aspect was overdone in this one - excepting the "survives falls that stuntmen wouldn't" parts.

As I mentioned above - there was still plenty related to the script/plot that was best dealt with via a sideways glance and raised eyebrow, but I thought her character was pretty well handled, and she played the part well.

I'm shocked - I think I need to go lie down for a bit  O:) (* I was actually thinking of you when it first appeared *)
