Thank you Derek! Wasn't sure what was gonna happen, but I went through with it, started it Sat eve and went into "the zone" last evening and did them all. Was very pleasantly surprised when I finished and sat back to look!

Its a guess. We know that Diplodocus had fleshy triangular "spines" all along its back (we have impressions found with the skeleton), and many sauropods had spines or spikes of various sizes and placement (Amargasaurus and its relatives, some Titanosaurs) ... what we do know for certain, however, that is that they make the dino models LOOK COOL!.

Not yet. Probably boring two tone design as befits a giant animal, with some darker leopard stamp patterns where the dark blends into lighter color. (Yes, I bought a leopard pattern stamp just for this purpose ... have not tried it out yet though) ... 🤨

Oh I think you should Vladdie! (Scottie accent) Go down that hole…

Perhaps consider a dazzle that would make an animal of enormous size resemble a stand of trees from a distance. A herd might look like a forest. The type of “tree” would be dependent on the environment of course. Might be enough to fool a predator… or no….

Anyway, just riffing here.

POST FROM NOV 10, 2025 - Moved to the proper thread (I had forgotten that this guy got his own thread and started posting updates on the Dino-bashes thread ... Mea Culpa!

Image

Ahhhh, Fall in South Texas ... beautiful ... balmy ... flowers abloom ... Sauropods perching ... *Wait* WHAT? :bshock:

Oh THAT? Well ... if you must know ... I was just ... AIRBRUSHING  the Sauroposeidon with that Camo Sand spray paint ... see I figure that might limit the paint job to just the dark blue pattern uptop, blended into the sand, and then oil-washed to add some depth ... yeah, I'll admit it - I'm cutting corners ... about the only way I'll get brave enough to tackle a paint job this BIG!!! :mrgreen2:
