Am I going to put any of this in heavy rotation? No.
Are they amazing> Also no.
But man it is fun, and really lifted my spirits today. So for that alone, I thought I would share.
Ok, for some reason YouTube has been showing me recommendations from like 15 years ago. Sometimes it gets annoying them trying to get me to watch videos I've already seen.
Except when it is good music.
It all started today with
Buckcherry - Everything https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEjnqXQ02Q4
Then I actively went to look for this to get me motivated and off my ass to get some stuff done!
BABYMETAL - Catch Me If You Can https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_yATzyi-3g

It's a nice toe-tapper when you are driving
I wasn't that impressed by the 3 tracks previously released from the new album - "Darkness Always Wins", "Everest" and "Rain You're Blood on Me" (album out tomorrow), but THIS (released today) is a refreshing change in style and SO suited to Lzzy's voice.
Nightclub blues done perfectly . . . and this is going to be an instant add to the playlist for some of my female colleagues/friends . . . guaranteed
Good tune Spike - and after it ended the next suggested track that started playing was this 1940s classic - "Its been a long long time". (That I have never listened to, BTW).
You are right, it does suit her voice quite well.
Sadly, it doesn't grab me though. Much like the other songs from this album so far it's just too slow and not as energetic as the stuff I do like.

I was going to ask if your daughter was visiting the UK . . . and then realised they are on a U.S. tour right now
Yeah. First videos were from Inkarceration in Canton OH. (she flew in for the weekend festival and never even told me they were only 120 miles away. First I knew is when she started posting pics and vids from the show on Friday)
Then they must have been somewhere around Denver this past week.
And by near Denver that would probably be somewhere in a 200-300 mile radius. The girl is serious about her concert going.
Well, I've listened to the entire album - and for me it's not one I'll be buying or listening to again . . .with the exception of THIS which is old-school Halestorm
Oh man. This has been a great weekend for music.
Besides that great Pretty Reckless song, Electric Callboy dropped this amazing cover
Still Waiting - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPZnearOJbM

I really dislike that. I'll be glad when they get back to their own stuff.
Well, I love the original, and the cover is an amazing take on it.
I think part of it too, is their current touring drummer is the former drummer for Sum41 (original artist)
From what I have seen, new album won't be out until next year.
Think the search for a new drummer is putting things behind.
