My latest project completed - ARTOMIC CREATIONS VAMPIRA

#1 Post by v338241 »

Hello Fellow Clubhouse Modelers!
I just finished my latest project, Artomic Creations Vampira - a beautiful sculpt by Thomas Kuntz that I was fortunate enough to purchase her from a fellow Clubhouse member a while back. I am very happy with her and I hope you enjoy seeing the results!

Very Nice!
How did you paint the nylon stockings so realistically if you don't mind my asking ?

Thanks for the comments!
The nylon stockings were a challenge. I first tried to create the bold fishnet look by trying to lightly dry brush the raised edges of the stockings, trying to minimize getting the dark color in the recessed areas. I was not happy with my efforts, so I just airbrushed the flesh color over the failed dry brushed areas and then I air brushed a very thin black mist over the flesh colored legs until I achieved the look you see. I have seen photos of other build ups where the bold fishnet look was achieved. I just did not have the patience to get that effect. I am happy with what I did and I think Vampira is a very sexy persona!

Absolutely spectacular buildup! The sculpt is top notch, and your paint up is incredibly lifelike! A few of those close up shots made me think of Gloria Swanson from her days in silent movies.

In any event, 10 out of 10 stars on this build!
