I agree that the paint scheme of the hounds needs to be changed. Consider lightening the red the same way you did the wings, but also working in another color scheme that works with the red one. So, lighten the red, and work in another color and make the dogs sort of two tone.

Now that looks awesome!
When I read your first post I was going to suggest going lighter like the tones you had in your post from Oct 30th.
But changing the color was so much better.
That one change breathed new life into that kit. Made it much more dynamic.
Loving this!
Hopefully I can figure out how to improve the hell hounds today….
Good news is that uploading pics from my IPAD is working again now.

I sincerely appreciate all the positive feedback, but I am not happy with how this bash is going.
I think it is a great concept, but I am not doing a good job of executing my vision.
The red skin tones are just not working for me.
I hoped to finish and bring this to kit con contest, but I would be embarrassed to enter it.
I am really struggling to keep working on this, but I don’t want to give up just yet.
I am going to try and use some sponge effects to make the demon wings less monochromatic and hopefully look like light is shining through.
Also plan to try and add some sponge highlights to Hell hounds to break up skin color pattern and soften spotting details,
Almost at the point of doing total reprime and starting from scratch (or even offering it up for sale to someone who could paint it better).
but trying to resist that drastic measure.
Thanks again to all who are following this bash.
I feel ya. I hit that wall all the time and my vision is a fraction of what yours is. Maybe set it aside for a few weeks and let the fog clear - that concept is too cool to give up on.
I second everything Trevor said - the wings now GLOW with a FIRE that *INSTANTLY* draws the EYE to the Demon!!!! Now he looks ... DANGEROUS and SCARY, and like he is about to take FLIGHT!!!!
Can't wait to see what you do with the "Devil Dogs"!!!!
