The idea is to never miss a Chiller! Almost did, but got a reprieve. I'll have the Bug with me (my son, who turned 1 year Thursday)
My wife and I met at Chiller. She's staying in VA on call for funerals all weekend, and I am riving 300 miles to get there. f you see an old Goth Deathrock Dad with a Lugosi shirt pushing a blonde baby around, say hello.

Fritz it was great meeting you at Chiller and have a safe trip back home.
Travelers to unknown regions would be well-advised to take along the family dog. He could just save you from entering the wrong gate.

I gotta say, Chiller was getting lost in the post WF shuffle here on the board, but for the record, having done shows as a vendor for close to 20 years, set up with others at both WF and Chiller, and with my own space at Chiller for the past 5 years, this was the BEST show I have EVER had financially, spiritually and just the EASIEST set-up EVER. FIRST guy I have to thank is Dice, who looked out for us and put us in a fantastic location (which turns out is Fritz's old spot). Ed, you will have your Creature shortly, I promise! And Fritz, there was MUCH good mojo in the old spot, so thanks, and I'll be in touch shortly. BTW, Son of Fritz is a cutie, and the QUIETEST kid I have ever seen, (or NOT heard, LOL) And thanks to everyone who came buy and took a look at the Creature, it was quite a hit, and I felt lucky to have had the chance to work with a talented guy like Ray Santoleri. Thanks to John Apgar for making it happen and creating another instant classic. BTW, Ray is just a supernice guy, and he and I may collaborate on another Universal monster project for Cult of Personality. And of course great to see Terry and Timi Webb (and the much talked about "wedding of the century" pictures), Saul, and Rainer and Danny and Travis (who I didn't harass until AFTER he paid for his stuff, LOL ) and if I left anyone out, sorry I need a nap...

It was so nice to see it in a comfortable hotel again. I liked the Hilton days, they were lots of fun. I saw Fritz twice. Once in the parking garage. Thought to myself don't be the creepy guy and say hello in the spooky garage. Last thing he wants is to be stalked while with his kid. I know I'm screwed up hahahaha. And once as he rushed past in the main hall this afternoon with a determined pace to his stride pushing the stroller. Again, not an opportune moment. I found it quite refreshing to be able to walk through the hallways easily without the cattle feel. The celebrities were extremely pleasant not one prick in the bunch that I talked to. It was a fun excursion.
Man lives in the sunlit world of what he believes to be reality.

Tom, I need a good harrassing once in a while.
I'm glad Chiller went well for everyone... It was a better "chiller" type atmosphere but it wasn't complete... The Dane wasn't there, Sassy's was MIA, Animal was in civies and selling paintings, Savini was not there( I don't think), Still can't get used to not seeing Mad Labs and there used to be a handycapped guy there with Build-ups that I really enjoyed buying from that was not there.
My routine stuff was fun as usual, Hang at Cult and shot the s*@# then break stones, check out T Webb and his stuff... I just really miss the Model Contest.
Can't wait for WF2007 so I can hang more with you guys
Tom, if I brought my Son I wouldn't have got through the Lobby, everywhere I go this kid attracts attention... He's a babe magnet
He would be voted the cutest kid at Chiller, no offence to others bambinos
Travis

Granted, the June timing kept a few dealers and friends from attending, but overall it was one of my favouite Chiller Expos in a few years. Chiller was a BLAST! Aside from the nostalgic aspects of the hotel, the overall presence of so many interesting dealers and fans was a great treat.
I got in mid day Saturday after finding I had bank and postal issues to tend to in Brooklyn afetr a 5 hour drive North. (My mail was never forwarded, and I submitted checks to my bank and they never deposited them.) Anyway, got to Chiller to find my tables occupied by my buddies Monster Squad NYC and Mad Geppetto, and got situated with some "garage sale" magazines, DVD's, and my resin nameplates soon after. Since I had the baby with me it was more a "Bug's Fisrst Chiller" than an attempt to make money. I saw a few old friends and it was nice to meet a few of the Clubhouse folks.
Was great to see Rainer Engel (Thanks for the DVD and Caligari autographs!) and Jens, have Paul from Amok find my son Adorable, and surprise of all surprises--my baby was fascinated by Diceman! They would smile and make nosies at each other whenever they passed each other. It was a cute exchange to see. Bug loved Ed's Creature tattoo and laughed and squeeled at Ed more than anyone else at the show besides Zacherley's Dummy Doll.

Tom at Cult of Personality was very gracious as usual, and I wishj I had more time unfettered from my little boy to talk shop! Very neat that Ed gave you my old spot in the dealer's room. Basil Gogos and his girlfriend Linda enjoyed seeing us but missed my wife--Basil wanted to paint her one day... I know I missed seeing a few folks and cannot mention everyone.
What a cool show. Thanks to all for making it so much fun. Sorry if I seamed rushed, but even the best baby can be quietr if kept at a brisk pace looking at stuff. October I'll be ther with my family and NOT selling. But keep posted--I will have some stuff kicking around at a table or two
