New Iron Man kits?

#1 Post by Ruprekt »

Now that the movie is out, are there any plans for anyone to do kits of any of the suits or characters?

Moebius has the license for the film, and has a kit in the works.

I start one sculpt of Tony Stark in the armor(Robert D. Jr.). Just a bust, for moment, maybe full size...in 1/6 scale.

Suggestions welcome.

I would love to see a FS 1/6 of the all chrome version (mark 2) from the flick, not the original, primitive suit but the prototype of the red and gold :D

I did two Extremis Armor sculpts that I'm currently finishing up. Made molds and everything, with light up feature. I've sent some pics around to some companies, haven't heard anything.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what Moebius comes up with on this.

What ever happened to Mad Dog Resin's Iron Man kit (IMO, one of the best ever available)? I've read posts that indicated it's being produced by Jayco (Resin Realities) now, but I don't see it listed on either website. Has it been retired?

As far as I know John has retired that Iron Man kit, but he has another line in a little smaller 1/7 scale. So far I've seen a classic '70s era IM and a War Machine. I thought there was at least one more--maybe a Granov style suit?--but I'm not sure.

Zombie,

You can email Jayco and then order the kit. I just did this past Friday.

I'd love for someone to come out with the original comic suit in 1/6 scale and I'm sure there's a lot of builders here who would love the Mk1 suit from the movie too.

BTW, I hope everyone who went to see the movie waited until the end of the credits!!!!!!! If you didn't, shame on you, you missed out on something really cool!!!

Thanks! :thumb2: I might just do that when I get a few more bucks in my pocket.

I saw that thread. Nice display! It's too bad there haven't been more kits showing the various incarnations of the suit, but that's a good start.
