Propossed UK swap and sell Meet

Hi guys,

Just a random idea I had which I thought id post to see if any other UK members might be interested in.

Im guessing that like me we all have a few kits we might like to swap or sell and a possible meet in london (cehtral ish) might aid in the process, as well it would be nice to put a few faces to names as I havent realy been in the hobby long and would like to say hello and be a bit more involved in the community.

I was thinking something simple, like a quiet London pub on a weekend to have brew and talk models and see if some trades or sales might happen?

dates can be arranged if there is a take up on the idea.

thinking about it boxer, your right there are a few in the north who could maybe make birmingham but not London so unless a majority say otherwise lets say birmingham

A Garage kit show would be amazing, I just dont have the contacts to make it workable to be honest, I may look into it though

please let other UK modelers and producers know about the thread, with enough interest we could make this a more formal affair (im not talking black tie with ferrero roche.....actually I do like ferrero roche....hmmmm)

Yeah that is a great idea , London would be way too far for me though and would cost me well over £80.00 on the train , but birmingham is fine only costs £25.00 return
We could even meet when there is a show on

This way we could have a mooch round the show for a few hours and go were our legs take us.
Unfortunatley i don't drink so i will be on diet coke and ferrero roche.
What we could also do is put up a list of kits we want to swap/sell and see who is interested in them that way kits will not be brought along for nothing.
As i have a load of horizon super hero kits and some resin but could no way bring it all with me.
And am after larger scale forge world so would swap multiple kits for this stuff.


Does this sound good?

Nothing on there at the momment , have you any other things you have to trade.
I would rather trade then sell as i would just waste the money.

Due to forking out for a new boiler im afraid im not going to be able to attend the show at the end of the month, apologies, I hope other things will be happening during the year so I can meet some of you guys
