The bright colors were not working for me.

Going to try and do a brownish bird of prey type paint scheme

So I Reprimed the griffin and laid in some initial base colors

Here's a photo that might give you some ideas - :mrgreen:

I snapped these in our backyard last week of a Hawk, or Falcon, eating a bird he caught. Gory stuff!! Badass.

For that alone the paint job would be worthy!!! :mrgreen2:

Put on some stain .
I think going with the more natural brown color scheme was the right choice.
But still have Lots of detailing left to do.

I Will also have to rework skin details on the legs as the skin texture looks like wood instead of fur.
I just bought some fur texture stamps which I will try to use.

Continuing to paint the griffin base colors
Plan to add some bird of prey color patterns to the wings and body

Started putting some battle holes and tears in the wing webbing to show why dragon is falling out of sky
Also adding claws marks across upper chest

Refining some of the rips as they were too round and did not look like they were made by claws
Adding some texture and visual interest to the inner side webbing
I also beefed up the shoulders and all the arm segments , front and back
