Damn... here I was agreeing with Joe on this one! (John makes
some good points) but really... Tommy WOULD HAVE gotten that flag
in a heartbeat!

Cam gets treated alot like Big Ben... for some weird reason, their
big size makes the refs think they can take it. But a call is a call and
should be (At least) attempted to be fair across the board!

But... enuff being nice!! Once again I pick these b****ches to win,
thinking "ha! Broncos don't have a QB... and although they couldn't pull
a game outta their butt against HGH-boy... surely they can win the rematch!!?!"

Sheesh... only thing I can guess happened was that someone went up to
Cam near the end of the game and told him, "No, Newton... they, in fact, won't
give you a ring at the end of this game. Who told you that?!"

(and yes... I was lmao when the kick went wide left!)

BUT... can't gloat too much.... ol' Jimmy hasn't played yet! and don't know
if Gronk is gonna show up.

Just hope everyone remembers what day Sunday is, and EVERYONE stands!

...and that D was suspect to say the least...got the HUGE plays in the shadows of the goal post but between the 20s, absolutely non existent...pics of D members were on a milk carton...you can't do that!

TB & BR have never been mistaken for Newton, Vick, Young, Cunningham...them mobile QBs gotta get hit QUICK & HARD...especially as they go into scramble mode...

There was at least one, probably 2, shots on Newton I thought should have been cause for penalty and possible ejection. Where was the oft mentioned "concussion protocol"? I know the Panthers want to win, but I thought player safety was supposed to come first? (I can't say I'm surprised...)

Maybe the one offset by "intention grounding".. maybe the ball gets past the line if the QB isn't being treated like it's 1972. Maybe.

1st off: "TB and BR..." has never been said by anyone!! EVER! So, child, pls!!! :)

I'm saying that, like Ben, who doesn't get the flags for 'ruffing the passer' nearly enough
compared to every other QB, Cam seems to be in that 'hold the flags' ref-mentality as well.

Now, stop making me say nice things about dem pussycats... leaving a bad taste in
my mouth!! Joe's gonna think I went soft and start mailing me cat hats & jerseys to
wear on Sunday!!

<ahhhhhhhhh> That's better!!

So da Gronk and Solder didn't make the flight and downgraded to OUT! huh?!!
(ol' Chandler Jones must REALLY be licking his chops now!!)

Coooooooooome on, Defense!!!! <cross fingers... voodoo Palmer doll... boogyboogy chanting>

Well... 1st half looked stupendous... bye Jimmy!

I thought at the start of this season they might have a 5th ranked Defense...
they ain't showing it yet!

Anyway... we're making it REALLY REALLY easy for ya, Marc-ie Marc!! You
come into our house and don't beat the backup to the backup to the GOAT, then
you just better go find yourself a rock and hide out til next Sept!!

As for anoth'a QB to back up Brissett... hear Bill's getting tons of voice mails...

Ah - HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Now you see why I kept such a low profile leading up to this game. ::rolleyes::

When I first came into the League, as the video assistant on Glanville's '86 Oilers staff, we went 4-0 in the preseason, then went up to Lambeau and beat the Packers in the regukar season opener. I thought to myself, this is the sh*t right here - we've got the playofffs and the Super Bowl knocked!

We then proceeded to lose eleven straight before a slight rally at the end of the season. After nearly twenty five years in the NFL, I learned that keeping your yap shut is a pretty good approach.

I also learned, early on, that as the video puke and an assistant coach, I didn't have anything to do with running, passing, catching, blocking, and tackling.

Neither do the Texans, apparently.

p.s. I love you, Bucster, you know that, but remember what happened last season when a certain crazy one crowed and preened and beat - excuse me, POUNDED - his chest for 18 games until that buncha blue pussycats had their britches pulled down during SB50.

I'd hate to see you at the end of the year with yer gob fulla feathers.

Wait - no, actually, I'd enjoy that very much!

They absolutely confound the f' outta me every year!!?! Ya gots O'Brien, ROMEO (fer crying
out loud!!!), Vrabel, IZZO!! (love me some Izzo), Wilfork... you KNOW US better than any
other team out there... I was certain.... CERTAIN!! we were gonna get our arse wiped!!!

Ok... never impressed w/ Brock... BUT!! he did beat us last year when we went to Denver...
so he had that going in! But wtf was that?!! It was like the coaching staff lost confidence
in him when he couldn't connect w/ those early passes and just said, screw it!! Hand it off!!

3rd and 7... hand off.... 3rd and 6... hand off.... whaaaaaaa?!!

Listen... I loved watching the kid do end arounds!! But you have JJ... and he's doing
end arounds?!?! Whaaaaaaaaa?! No way!!

The whole thing was freaking baffling, man!! How does a team recover from that?!
Freaking head shaking!!
p.s. I love you, Bucster, you know that, but remember what happened last season when a certain crazy one crowed and preened and beat - excuse me, POUNDED - his chest for 18 games until that buncha blue pussycats had their britches pulled down during SB50.

For me, that's the fun of football season... busting balls w/ the threat of retaliation looming!!
(hey, I'm friends with Rotondi and Bowkley... you don't think I get Eli and J.E.T.S. rubbed in
my face on a daily basis... if those 2 don't form a armored hide on your arse, nobody will!!
Very few folks left in this world that can take as well as give it! And those two are a rare
breed, indeed!)

(btw... for historical accuracy... the 'aints didn't ruin our perfect season... that f'ing Samuels
did when he didn't catch what would have been a game ending interception!! or if he moved
his slow donkey arse over to help Rodney break up the Ty.... Tyr.... (can't even type it))

Well, I'm hoping we can do something other than freaking RUN on first down every. damn. time. and maybe - just maaaayyyyybe - we can beat my former team at home.

I'm actually thinking about going up to Minny next weekend for the game against the Vikes so that I can see the new stadium.

Then again, I sure as H-E-Double Hockey Sticks do NOT want to have to slink out of that stadium after another 40-0 goose egg loss.

If the Vikings can get Newton to the ground 8 times, what is gonna happen to poor Pad Statsford when the Leos have to play them twice in 3 games?

Well, went down pretty good, Marc-ie!

- ol' Rex is happy cuz he beat a 3rd string QB.
- our D kept them at 16 pts (pretty sure TB can put up 17 or more)
