Thanks guys :P
Yeah I'm out of pumpkins, but also the last one was so old and hard I have blisters all over my hands and sore wrists from carving that beast.

nice one Daniel! a killer Frog by the look of it!! 8)

i have an entry which i post as soom as the camera charges. its a second rendition. i did quite a nice Femme head which folks who saw it at work liked and thought it a bit like Lara Croft. sadly , as soon as i attempted to add some fangs, the sculpt went badly South!!!

.....but... i resorted to some Failed Sculpt Therapy and repeatedly punched Her in the Face!!

the newly mashed face led to a Zombie sculpt.... :D

mods, how are your entries??

Can't wait to see that, Tim :D

Damn I'm really a cheap bastard. Was just thinking about recycling the Monster Rider piece I'm working on for a jam again. I mean.... it's a monster! :alcoholic:

D'oh!

Long story short, I have a sculpt I'm working on and it's hella-scary, just not in the usual Halloween scary of this jam.

Pictures way later tonight.

I should have something to post in a couple of days. The newest release of the Wheel of Time series just came out and I'm going out to get my copy and read a few chapters tonight.

Eh, on second thought...what looks good to the naked eye, doesn't come off so good under close up photography.

I need to do some tweaking yet.

right side is supposed to be the skull side but i didnt bother defining it too much. he's slightly stylistic i notice but made me laugh after screwing up a nice Femme...

for 2011, i have decided to study heads more(and molding too!). they are interesting and challenging to do for sure plus any sculpt relies on the headsculpt to be a success and i'm mediocre at best!!

Way to go, 'Punchy'... Ya definitely knocked the Lara croft right outta there!  Zombie sculpts always make me happy & the grin is already there for this one.

I'm with you on the head-sculpt practice Tim. It's so easy for me to go wrong in small scale & is probably why I do more zombies than living. I can explain the lack of symmetry/balance so much easier with 'em.

yeah Jim, i like headsculpting so intend to delve deeper...

i oddly enough, dont dig zombie sculpts Jim.... :? this fella could have his eyes level but frankly it makes the piece look odd or too normal. though i guess a really great zombie head would be a regular face with eyes focused but milky and skin damage. trouble is, you couldnt get that across unless it was colored.
i may have been better off popping out the right eye!!

like your Bunny suit guy btw!! excellent! 8)

  thanks Jnr. :D
he aint that good!! but... i wanted to make up for my lack of enthusiasm in past jams and make an entry. he'll do!.

... am continuing with another work in progress piece in the background here. have taken that femme head and added it to my Judge Anderson one which has advanced the look of her...

the body of the Dark n sexy Gal has been cut up and put in a tupperware box for future use. i figure finishing up one good effort will be better than having several wip's taking up room and gathering dust.

hope every one is doing well with their stuff.. :D

Hey Folks.

Studly Dennis and I have decided to give you all a little break from the jams. Starting this week we will be posting new Jam themes every other 2 weeks. So enjoy your 2 week rest, folks. get some of your personal projects done and deadlines to catch. Dennis and I will see you all again in two weeks with a new jam theme.

which is where us jammers hang out and talk putty about our wip's and show what ever we is doing between jams. :P

The Jam Cafe.....neat idea!

Yeah, coffee talk, tea time, belly up to the bar, chewing the fat, slinging the hash.....

anyone else getting hungry???

I think I like it, no pressure to do anything really, just casual conversation and encouragement.

How about it Jr.? Whatta ya think?

When I read your post last night it seemed like it was in Smeagol-talk, but now when I read it, it doesn't sound like that so much. No wonder you're confused!

What's our first topic of discussion?

Great Idea, Tim. Maybe the Jam CAFE is a post that we can re-edit after a jam to be re-posted as an announcement so we can have a continuing discussion.

Dudly Dennis! :P I likey!
