I think I'm getting there. I discovered that when I realigned the eyes before, I had one placed too deep into the head (again) rrrrrrgghh!!!!

Fingers crossed. :alcoholic:

yep, thats why i gave up using bearings and such. for me its easier now to use the clay/wax surface and dig/shape the eyes from it, hope its going well though Dennis. nice that you can kick back and join in . :D 8)

Evening all.

Whoa....snow...snow...snow... At the end of March in the UK...could do without it. I know it messes up peoples moulding and casting.....the cold that is...

I was in Hereford today with Alison, with her craft stand. It was blinkin cold. I visited the 'Works' ( a book shop of sorts here in the UK ) They are at the moment selling lots of Marvel and Superhero books for silly money...great for the reference shelves. :D

Right up to the wire there Dennis.....what power will eminate from Tims fingers for the next jam....tense times...

Saw the ball bearing thing. I sometimes make Milliput balls and use them to get the placing for the eyes. When happy I then push them into the head a little with a tool and then place wax over the top. I prefer to have control over the eyes. I also prefer to have the whole face in one colour. If it is a ball bearing, I hate the fact that my tools reflect in the shiney metal and for me throw the eyelid lines and shadows off. Everyone has their preferences and it is really down to experimenting I guess. Thank goodness we are all different otherwise we would never pass information in the form of tips to each other...and we would never learn anything... :)

I'm so tired of snow. Rarely has a day passed that something white wasn't falling out of the sky and blowing sideways.

For the moment it's finally sunny, but we're supposed to get hit again later on Sunday into Monday/Tuesday.

I was going to spend the day sculpting, but with the heat on the air gets dry and itchy. I run a humidifier to keep the moisture levels good, but the moisture filter has gone pffft! from too much use. The mrs. and kids are getting scratchy, so I've been out looking for a replacement. Not easy when all the stores have gardening and swimwear on the shelves already. Hey! Here's an idea for the store inventory stockers....how about waiting until winter is over before you get rid of all the seasonal items! :x

I finally found 1 (one!) filter after a few hours of driving around.

Back to sculpting! 8)
