Thanks Vlad!

I may have lucked out in this case where I do not need to change the death dealer too much.
I will know better once I get the hellhound pegged and balanced on the base so I can see exactly how the death dealer sits.

I do plan on changing the position and angles of the right arm to have him holding a spear and about to throw it.
So basically I have to change it back pretty close to how it was originally… not the first time this has happened…

I am trying to decide on hellhound color scheme
Needs to look good paired with the Demigorgon and look like they both come from the same world.
My top options are
1. Dark reddish scheme ; close to my fell beast nazgul dragon color scheme
2. Greens and blacks
3. “Fiery” colors of red, orange and yellows (not sure I can achieve this color scheme like the hellhounds in one of the Riddick movies)

Damn you're quick and good Joe!

I would go for the Green/Black color combo to set up a contrast with the other creature. I don't think similar colors would work nearly as well, presentation-wise.

Continuing to blend in and detail where legs have been repositioned.
Used a purchased reptile skin texture stamp for first time and I like how it is working,
Started adding claws to feet.
Lots of refining and detailing left to do.

Started roughing in the new spear throwing right arm
Roughed in claws on left foot
Started beefing up the saddle to ensure death dealer sits securely and stops tumbling off the back like he did several times today…

Slimming down the left forelimb as I do not like it when forelimbs are a lot bigger than upper limbs.
Also repositioning tale as it was hanging down too low, and lengthening it a bit.
I Plan to make the tail a bit thicker as the rest of the hellhound is very chunky.

This is going to be incredible, Joe. The twisting pose of the "Death Dealer" as he readies to throw his spear is just so filled with tension! :drool2:

Gotta ask ... did you stand in the mirror holding a rodas if you were gonna throw it - just to try to figure out the perfect angle that you should be going for? I ask because that is literally what I did when I was doing the pose of the skeleton swinging its sword in the "Skeleton Staircase Duel" for my Sinbad vs skeleton "7th Voyage of Sinbad" build!

Thank you Vlad, Stormheart, and Trevor!

Vlad, I did not look in the mirror, but I did raise my arm up to help me figure out the angle of the forearm for the throwing pose.

Hopefully I can finish up the modifications and detailing this week, and start painting next week.

I really need to get back working the Griffin versus Dragon bash as that is going to take a long time to finish, and I plan to take that one to Wonderfest.
