Awesome news Matt... Of course we'll be there, yup sorry, but the whole gang except the dog... Good news is that Grandpa is coming with to keep an eye on the kids, plus, there's family in St. Louis, so FINALLY Mo will be able to cut loose as much as I do elsewhere...

Unfortunately due to recent expenses, like $700 to get my car fixed, I just won't be able to attend, which really sucks since I have never been to Wonderfest and really wanted to attend the KB show since I write for the magazine and wanted to support the Jorgensen's and help out, but......
.........maybe next year!

I just booked my flight to St. Louis !!! I'm in on Wednesday the 22 at 2:40 pm and leaving Monday the 27th about 11:40 am !!! I'll be staying with the in-laws W/Th/F and hope to book a room for Sat so I can shower after the costume party...Don't really want to hassle the in-laws at 2 in the morning !!!....Then spend Sunday packing up kits and such to have Dad -in-law ship them home . Staying with the folks Sun night and flying home to Vegas Monday ! Getting in on Wed will give me time to prep and/or repair contest entries I'll be sending ahead to my Father in-laws work. I'm shipping DHL ...Any horror/sucess stories using them ? He designs software so they ship many much things thru them so I'm figuring it to be ok !!! Can't wait !! I'll be buying up my admission here in a few days and I'm good to go !!! See ya there brothers !!!

Your plans sound as hectic as ours!
We can't wait to get a chance to sit and enjoy the show but I doubt we'll have time to do any of that. Lots to do yet so I'm off again!

Well, I finally received the spousal approval, mainly due to the fact that I could wedge this in between a couple of business trips. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again and "christening" this new show :D

Well, I might as well post my bad news here as well.

Despite the valiant efforts of several who will remain nameless (but I appreciate EVERYTHING they did!) I can now state officially that I just won't be able to make it this year. I missed out on Wonderfest due (primarily) to "mechanical" (lol) issues, but really wanted to make it the the first KBMW.

To say I am gutted just doesn't really explain how I'm feeling. It's not just the event itself, I was REALLY looking forward to meeting up with many of the friends I've made here (and elsewhere) over the last 3 years.

Some things you just can't fight, and to be honest, when I look at what several of our clan have gone through in the last 12 months (Hurricanes, floods, health issues with kids, family members passing etc), I'm lucky all things considered.

My apologies to those who I was going to get rat-arsed and sober with (varied crowd we have here!), but I'm determined to find some way of sorting this out before both WF '09 and the 2nd KBMW.

As my sig says - "$hit 'appens" dudes!

I'm really getting excited about attending this show. Looked for a while like I wouldn't make it -- but I'll be there. We have the local comic book show in the Twin Cities this weekend -- and I may take some of my castings there just to show -- but there are rarely any kit fanatics there. I haven't done a kit show for a good many years now, so while I hope to do some good business at my table (both comics and kits), I'm mainly about reconnecting with some of my old kit building pals.
