I wanted to try digital sculpting for a long time, so I though why not take the opportunity now, only to discover that my computer has some kind of problem wih the program :(

Julian, get those bugs worked out 'cuz I think we're going to keep with both clay and digital for a while.

And welcome to the Jams! 8)

um, used to bamboozle me too!

in clay and wax terms,
the new tools allow you to pick areas to separate(like using a saw or thin thread). these are then able to be hidden to allow access to other areas(like taking a clay arm off to get at an armpit say) or you can click on a polygrouped part, calling it up on its own(like taking said arm and working on just that bit)
the polygroups are colored differently once assigned and can be seen by hitting the Polyframe button on the side of the canvas to the right.

...........that help?? :P

Ahhh, thanks for the explanation.

I need to get off my bum and get into digital. Or, actually, get on my bum, 'cuz I'd be sitting more at the 'puter, huh?

Ermmm...not a digital sculpt, but I figured I'd post it anyway.

Here's my last jam piece. I noodle at her in the evenings when I have time; work has been kicking my butt these days, so I've had to live vicariously through you guys!

There's still TONS of work to do; eyes too large/high, jaw too broad etc etc...

She's three quarter scale in creamy Klean Klay! :)

Hey Tim, Pun's coming along well! I agree, slice curve and clip curve are my new friends.

I've been sidetracked with some commission work right now, but hope to have more to show soon - I MUST FINISH!

thanks guys! :D :bday:

like those tools too!

..... i spent this afternoon making some subtools then customising them. this way i can dynamesh a figure together quick time when starting out. i guess its like having odds and ends of wax sculpts which when welded together makes a new figure....

had enough now. my eyes r sore.... :D
