Looking forward this this resin fest, I have an Alice, a Kong and at least one Sweeney Todd on order (monkeying with that Janus Karloff Pierce piece has given me an idea for bashing Sweeney Todd into a sitting character as well as the standing). Should be a hoot, spoke to Dave and things are rocking and rolling.

Matt - I don't believe Buc was being derogatory, jesting in ill-advised taste maybe, but not derogatory.....let's not dig all that up again. Debts are cleared, Dave is back and by golly, by jingoes, by crikey - he has some serious resin kits for sale which is good news for us!!!

I wonder whether Joe "The Man" Bailey has made any head way on that special project he was on with a while ago..........

And depending on who you talk to, depends on which version of the (carefully edited after being temporarily locked) thread in question you believe.....

But like I said, let's not dig that up again..............

Is this really the place to be starting all that over again can we at least just stick to the point of the thread I think thats the decent thing to do regardless of whats gone on in the past.

Im sorry ive had to finally have my say but ive kept my point of view to myself for well over a year.

Cheers

Dean - I am trying to. It appears others are trying to drag it down to their own puerile level and dig up the past to discredit the UK scene......

C'mon Hugo, spill it, you cant get us guessing like that, what project? :D

And yeah c'mon folks lets keep this thread positive :)

I know I haven't been in the hobby as long as you guys and dont know any of you outside of these virtual walls, but would be cool to sink a few brews after the show if anyone is up for it? :alcoholic:

Just for the record Ian, I have a lot of respect for you dude, but I didnt start this thread to bring up history, be it recent.

I started the thread so the UK members of the forum could meet up, get some kits and have a laugh, and no matter how anyone feels about Dave and KK, the guy deserves credit for making this event possible and keeping the hobby alive on this little island :D

And here we go again. More slight of hand. "discredit the UK scene" - what a ridiculous accusation.

Who was the first on this thread to state "debts are cleared" and at the same time say "let's not dig all that up again"?

If you did not want it brought up, you should not have made your post. If you want it dropped, I would suggest stopping the provocational statements.

Stonie - ditto (on the respect).

Mark\Ian ive got the upmost respect for the pair of you if youve got stuff to air out then at least do it privately away from this thread.

Anyhow on a positive note I cant wait to get my hands on a Todd courtesy of Paul (boxerdog) your a star for picking one up for me.

Theres a part of me that wishes I could make it (but I cant due to funds) I know it would kill me being there knowing I wouldnt be able to afford any more kits.

Cheers

Stonie - I don't want to put Joe under any pressure to complete this project so I would rather keep it under wraps in case it is now a dead duck. You can ask him when you see him, ask him about the big project he was telling me about when we were sitting in Dave's flat slurping tea. Mind you, that was a year or more ago, I hope he has a good memory

Have you seen the 1:1 Arnie Dave is launching at the show? Strewth it is a beauty. I think he has a Predator kit he is launching at the show, or maybe just after, it looks really good as well. Lots of stuff, not enough money, too little time....where will it all end?

You staying at the Travelodge? Looks like that is where most are stopping!

I think im staying at the travelodge Hugo, since Boxerdog mentioned taking his Mrs with him and the fact its me and my wifes 1st wedding anniversary the day after the show, I thought it best to let her tag along lol only problem is she is now talking about booking a posh hotel nearby, which is gonna reduce kit buying funds!!! so I may just book the travelodge and tell he I forgot about the posh one :D

I heard about the Predator bust, and an arnie one aswell you say? ...geeez I've already reserved 4 kits, im going to have to take out a second mortgage by the sounds of it lol

dean its no trouble me picking that up for you.eh hugodrax have you slipped a few surprises out?arnie etc.this really is looking damn good.ive now got 3 reserved kits and will buy another one or two while im there im sure.
as far as the negative banter goes please lets all cool it and get on.this is all good to the hobby more sculpters selling on their pieces of art and well established producers picking them up and offering them to us all.
good luck to dave at kk and artbean for getting the u.k show going for us u.k collectors.and not to mention the fantastic pricing on these new kits.
from what im hearing already this is going to be very succesful and so it should.

and as for Daves 1/1 arnie well..... amazing!!!

just to update you all there are going to be a few seminars/talks on painting by myself and dave
and if Joe agrees he is going to do a sculpting talk but this needs to be confirmed

So remember to lock your room doors or there's no telling what photos may turn up later.

But not long to go now :)

Reaper asked me to post this Link.
http://www.travelodge.co.uk/search_and_ ... &from=list

This should be the Crewe travellodge.

Travellodge allow 3 adults/room. Others tend to be 2/room.

Around 50 quid mark, but rates seem to be going up every day or so :)
