At long last we are posting the info about the Badger/Black Heart airbrushing and kit finishing class at JFest 2013 on
Friday the 13th of September. The class will feature Rick Cantu and Saul Alvarez as our headliners. Participants will paint our 1:1 scale 360° Series Gillman from
The Monster Squad sculpted by Jeremy Bohr or our 1:1 scale 360° Series Gillman from
The Creature Walks Among Us sculpted by Steve Wang. This is the first time we have offered a 360° Series kit at one of our airbrushing classes and we think this is going to be an impressive thing to see. The Creature will debut at the class and the M.S. Gillman might never be available again after the class.
The M.S. Gillman will be guaranteed to only the first 10 folks to sign up. And, we are limiting the class size to only 24 (we had 36 at the last JerseyFest class), so please sign up soon. We accept Paypal at
goblackheart@comcast.net.
The full package (kit, airbrush, compressor, paint, finishing supplies and 6 hours of instruction) will cost $380. If you are supplying your own compressor the cost is $300. The higher cost for this class takes into account kits that are significantly more expensive to produce and ship and more time consuming to primer than the wall-hangers we have offered at the other classes we've done. Still a heckuva deal for all you get.
Please go to
http://www.blackheartmodels.com/news.html for more details and for info re signing up. Looking forward to a great class and a great show.

Nice! My dad just sent you payment for the full package for the MS Gillman (it is my birthday present from my parents)
The airbrush and compressor alone at $380 is a good price, plus the kit and supplies, but to master painters...what a deal!

Now with this class booked, I just need to finish up a few more kits for the model contest. It has been killing me to have them under wraps this long but I will follow the rules and keep them hush-hush until the contest.

George, this class is a "no compromise" event with top quality kits, products and instructors. I love it ! Thanks to you and Ken for organizing it and giving fair prices.

Eight (8) spots remain for the airbrushing/finishing class. The class is being limited to only 24 participants. However, with that many kits to primer and because these are life-sized 360 Series kits, I need some lead time to get that work done and then to get them shipped to the show. So, we will close registration for the class on Sunday August 15. If you are interested, please reserve your spot asap.
The class will run Friday the 13th from 10am to 4pm. Rick Cantu will lead participants who have already signed up and chosen Black Heart's Monster Squad Gillman bust; Saul Alvarez will lead the remaining participants who will finish our Creature Walks Among Us bust.
If you have any questions, please email me at
goblackheart@comcast.net.

Well done George. We have close to 60 people registered so far for Jerseyfest Academy classes. Plus a great party set up for all attendees and vendors on Friday night.
