Here's a few shots of the Screamin' Rocketeer I recently built, which is featured in the latest issue #56 of AFM.

Thanks for looking :D

I think this is my favorite pic of the kit, showcasing the rocket pack.

Sweet paint job.
I especially like the leather work on the accessories.

Top of the range paint work, particularly like the colour scheme running through from the base to the helmet.

Fantastic work, Gordon! I saw this in AFM and the pictures here look even better. The custom base and the detailing you did to the rocket pack are just beautiful. Will this be at Wonderfest this year?

Yeah, I was really wowed by this in AFM. This is the best I've ever seen this kit look. I didn't even recognize it when I first saw it, I thought it was a new kit.

This was actually my first vinyl kit. I was 11 when I painted it, and it sure looks like it. I want to repaint it soon, especially after seeing what you've done with it.

By the way, do you have a problem with the paint rubbing off his cowlicks every time the helmet is removed?

Thanks for the kind words everyone! It's great to get feedback on the article as well. I'm always wondering if people are
enjoying and getting something out of them. This was a fun project, for sure.

@Bill, I'm planning on bringing it to Wonderfest :D

@bishopsix, The paint does rub off his hair, but if you heat the helmet with a blow dryer, whether you're putting the helmet on or taking it off, to soften the vinyl it helps minimize it

Thanks again!
