Looking good so far.
I met Yvonne Craig at Wonder Con in SF about 8 years ago.
Very nice lady and still looks good.

Very nice. I like that you show us the various stages of the assembly and painting.

Nice! I would not have thought of it but it makes perfect sense to use a flesh tone base coat. I'll be watching this build to see what other tricks you use.

no airbrush... all hand brushed.... how do you avoid brush strokes?

I added lots of water in my painting (washes) and apply numerous thin layers and tapping lightly with my brush (kinda like the technique of painting named "pointillism"...).
It's a slow and very soft way to paint (I use it for the skin as well as clothing)

A little update:
I decided not use the original base, that's why I cut the pieces of dress...

Awesome work, Vger! I've been considering this kit but I wanted to see some close up pics. I think you've convinced me!

Now why didn't I think of that? I've had this kit sitting on my bench since it first came out and never thought to cut the fringe off the base with a razor saw and solve that annoying problem. Who knows, this just might get me to start in on the kit once again (if I can find the time amongst my other projects).

so many thing to do and so little time...
I've some little difficulties to reproduce the exact color of her dress: a mix of violet and blue
