Chris Elizardo's Book of Eli

#1 Post by Tim Fortuna »

First I have to admit I wasn't a huge fan of this movie. Can't put my finger on it, watched it once, good filler and moved on.
When I saw Chris' sculpt for the first time I knew I had to paint this.
The detail he put into this is absolutely amazing. The folds in the clothes, the buttons and zippers everything has detail to it. I love this kit.
And on a personal note this is the first kit I have finished in a long time. Between home renovations and work it felt awesome to complete a kit on the bench of shame. I knew this kit was the one to break the draught when I bought it.
Pics kind of blow, only have the cell for pictures now.
Thanks Chris, this was a very enjoyable kit to paint. :D

MAJOR props to you and chris, tim...i also really dig the work on the clothes, the folds, etc...can you give me an idea of which technique(s) you used?...seems more than just drybrushing...

Thanks Boon!
And no, thank you Chris. It says a lot about the sculpt when you don't even like the movie and by the kit.

I usually make crap up as I go along but most commonly I do a base coat, drybrush, wash and then lighter drybrush. Then go back and forth in any areas I feel need it. Thanks for the comment.
