Stanley Cup 2016

#1 Post by tay666 »

So, puck-heads.
What do you think of the playoff picture right now?
Is your team, in, out, or in limbo?

Any thoughts on how things are going to play out.

My Rangers out in the first round. No chemistry. They're killing me.

Bruins might still get in...but if so, 1 and done.

Why they kept Claude this year baffles me!! PLAY THE YOUNG KIDS!!

Oh yeah!

Buc - I feel ya. We've had the problem forever in Pittsburgh.
Finally have a coach that will play the young ones. Now we've got all kinds of secondary scoring keeping us going. And man are those kids fast and hungry. They just never give up.
Now just to hope they don't make too many mistakes when the stakes are high in the playoffs.

I was hoping for a 1st round match-up with the Rangers, but now it's looking like it will be the Islanders.

I agree with Lenny, Rangers will be out first round. They just aren't clicking.

Pens looks dominant.

*beep* *beep* *beep*....the sound of my Red Wings backing their way into the playoffs. 25 straight years is cool, but there's no way they're going to make any noise in the playoffs. Disappointing, but that's the reality.

The front office has been way too lax the last several years.

St. Louis has home ice advantage starting this week against Blackhawks - nervous about this, we always have trouble with Chicago.

My Flyers captured the 8th seed, so they get the "privilege" of playing against the President Trophy winning Caps in the first round. They played the Caps tough during the season, but the Flyers have a HUGE hill to climb, even with the extra motivation of playing for Ed Snider, the Flyers owner for the last 48 years who passed away this week. Caps and Pens seem to be the likely favs for the East this year....

Glad I was wrong about this. Didn't think the Isles would tank the last 2 games to avoid the Pens.
Now to get this monkey off our backs!
Rags have knocked us out of the playoffs the past 2 years. Time to return the favor.

I am actually hoping to have fun watching that series.
Rooting for it to go all 7 games with maybe a few OT games for good measure.
I see this as being a very physical series, and if it turns out I am right, I don't see the winner being able to have enough left in the tank to get through the 2nd round.

Well, the Pens won the battle of the back-ups.
But man, were they really off their game last night.

Hoping that the schizophrenic play of the Red Wings will click back into ON mode. When they are, they can beat anyone. When they switch off they can give up even the easy games. Lost game 1 and it felt as if they should have had it in the bag at the start. Was also disappointed to see the Rangers and the Blackhawks lose their first games. Whats an Original Six fan to do?

Glad to see my Pens got their act back together after that horrible game Saturday.
The way they played last night is what I expected. That was the Pens I was hoping to see.

Hope the game this coming Saturday isn't in the afternoon. Pens always have trouble with early games.
