Printer

#1 Post by tellmyre »

Well my Canon MP830 printer is done for. No matter what I do I cannot get rid of the "wrong printer head" message.

Does anyone have a recommendation for an all in one printer to replace this with?

Apologies Pete - I don't come in this part of the board that often.

I suspect you've sorted this out by now (or do you still need recommendations?)

This is what I bought earlier this year:
This site has great offers that cannot be beat (at least for those in Canada - not sure if they give free shipping to USA customers).

The MG6620 linked to is a neat bit of kit - printer (fast), scanner (fast), photocopier (fast) all-in-1, and like your MP830, you can change the cartridges 1 at a time instead of wasting ink in combined cartridges. However - you may consider it a downgrade from the one you had before :-k

If you print high volumes, I'd get a Canon with the long (business style) cartridges - although seemingly expensive up-front, they will last forever.

In case you didn't know, Canon have a help line that are honest and will actually HELP you make your printer selection.
