New York City visit

#1 Post by Chefblades »

Hey guys and girls,
I'll be in NYC in late July next year, staying in the Upper West Side. Aside from the usual tourist places to visit... is there anywhere that you could recommend to visit? I'm thinking along the lines of this great hobby. Any suggestions would be welcome :D

The first 2 below are within walking distance of each other and in a great area to walk around:

1) Midtown Comics: lots of cool statues on display
200 W 40th St, #2, New York, NY 10018
Cross Streets: Near the intersection of W 40th St and 7th Ave

2) Madame Tussauds: http://www.madametussauds.com/NewYork/Default.aspx

3) Forbidden Planet: lots of cool statues and collectibles on display
Another cool area to walk around - The Village

Great Italian restaurant in the theater district if you want a fairly upscale one for a night:
La Masseria
235 West 48th Street, between Broadway & 8th Ave.
