The Hound bust by Yagher.....

#1 Post by sktch4fn »

Hi guys!

After nearly 6 year hiatus, I finally got some time to paint something. Financial issues, birth of my son, moving across country and now with lot of work to do, I could not find the time or motivation to relax and just enjoy painting again.

After moving from Arizona to Maryland, I got a whole basement that I transformed into my Man Cave and a place I can work and finally paint my kits. I got a few kits the past 3 years so I decided to start with 1/4 scale The Hound bust by Jeff Yagher. I thought it would be a good test to see if I still got it and although I know it could have been better, I'm happy how it turned out. I am a little rusty but this kit helped me get back to modeling and now I have to decide which kit to paint next.

Let me know what you think....

Cheers

Pretty awesome! Love the burn and the clothes. One of my favorite characters on the show.

Excellent! Nope, you haven't lost it :-) You've brought out the amazing textures and your attention to detail is superb.

Thanks everyone...

I know there were things that could have been done better but considering how long it's been, I'm okay with it. I always have this "Is is good enough for a contest?" type mind set and I always try to do the best possible job I can.

For those who do not know my work, here is a link to some of my paint jobs....

The photos you attempted to load to the Gallery were much too big for the program to handle. I surmise that they were the bust in this thread and I resized and uploaded them.
In the future, keep pics under 900X900 and try to include some information in the description. If you use the "search" feature you can see which of your models I already uploaded.
Thanks,
Harry
