Kaha Miniatures Gamera

#1 Post by Jon LeGrand »

Here is an original Concept Gamera by Kaha Miniatures, sculpted by Myfor Fancagne. It is only about 2.5 inches tall. I made the base, trying to make it look like lava.

Is the base lit?
Or is it just paint.
Either way it came out pretty good.

If you did light it what with?

Rich

Helena is here at hand;
And the youth, mistook by me,
Pleading for a lover's fee.
Shall we their fond pageant see?

I would have bet money that was lit. Your variation to create that glow is amazing.

Excellent work all around.
Plausible deniability.

Can't believe I hadn't commented on this, could have sworn I did.

While, I, personally, am not a fan of this take on Gamera, I love what you have done with it.
The color scheme makes me think more a mutated Ninja Turtle, than Gamera. That makes it more interesting in my book. The base, OMG, the base.
Outstanding paint slinging there. Especially since you carried it over onto his legs, to really sell the look.

As usual, very impressive work.
