Scrooge and Marley

#1 Post by malachite »

This is my version of Scrooge and Marley, thanks to Todd Powell (Dedham Pond) for letting me buy just the characters, chair, table and a few extras.
Merry Christmas folks, hope you like it.

Really nicely done! Your paint work is spot on for both figures and the background.
Looks like Scrooge is going to have a Merry Christmas.

Excellent! The subtle way you handle the background perfectly balances the scene. Always beautiful work comes from your mind and hands!

Outstanding. That is a super nice job just in time for Christmas. I know the chains support Marley but it is so well done you forget about that. Or at least I did.

Again, very well done.

Thanks again, Robert, Avall, Matt (too kind), Dave appreciate your comments, actually the vertical chains are plastic and initially I had super glued the links together on a length of chain thinking it would give extra support but ditched the idea, in fact the figure is supported only from his one foot glued to a casket and screwed through the floor. I'm glad the figure gives some illusion of floating.

Man, that looks wonderful. Gotta make sure Joe Simon sees this.

Do you mind if I copy the photos to the Dedham Pond Facebook page?
