THE CLUBHOUSE

Recently finished this commission figure- a custom conversion of the Gentle Giant Honey Trap Whisper 1/4 scale
statue. This involved a good amount of modifying, re-sculpting & a partial re-paint. The last picture is a stock
version of the figure. Thanks for looking...

First, just beautiful work all the way round. Secondly how did you go about removing the swimsuit, sanding and carving around the belts and equipment?

Except the obvious breasts etc. did you retouch the face also? It seems somewhat different from the stock photo.

Besides the obvious amazing work on the customizing.
The paint on this is flawless!
So natural.

LOROREX- I had to take almost all of the figure apart (except the scuba tanks were not removed)- some things came apart
fairly easily, while others, not so easy. The lower part of the wetsuit was a separate clear plastic piece & the upper part was
actually sculpted as part of the figure & painted to look see thru. As you mentioned, there was a lot of carving & sanding &
also the dremel was used. I was able to remove the main latch/buckle on the lower strap of the tanks with a razor saw (&
re-use it)- the actual lower strap was remade with epoxy putty. Some of the other straps & belts were redone with sheet
styrene & the balance of the other modifications were done with epoxy putty.

sbeliba- I repainted some of the details of the face & touched up the flesh color to better match the rest of the body.

Fantastic customization - she looks ALIVE ... I tried NOT to look too closely due to my natural modesty ... but I FAILED. Are you sure are that's not a live model you photographed???

bucketfoot-al- It helps that the original sculpt is well done. The figure does appear to be more than just a
composition of resin, plastic, epoxy & paint. She does seem to be comfortable with how she is attired,
so I guess it's okay to look... Removing the tattoo was one of the 1st suggestions that I gave to
the customer- I fully agree with your comment (we must be from the same generation...).

Many props on your skill deconstructing, modifying and rebuilding this sculpture. (And the original ain't cheap to begin with )
I bet you could make a fortune performing the same customization for other clients.

I will definitely be saving this one to my "Fantastic Builds" folder on my MAC.
