Milicent Patrick

#1 Post by csoldier »

Finished Typhon Studios' 1/4 scale Millicent Patrick the other day, the photos may not show the colours up properly (looked good on the i-phone).
Millicent was the uncredited designer of the Creature of the Black Lagoon.
For those that notice the #5 marking on the inside of the Creature's mask, it has no 'meaning' other than I figured that they may have made more than one copy of the mask, it is NOT the casting number .
I was in a bit of a quandary as to what colour scheme to paint the mask so tried for a bit of 'middle-ground' which might not be movie-correct, but I was happy(ish) with.

Bust is 1/4, sculpted by Jeff Yagher and was an edition of 100 pieces (I think). The first 25 who ordered also got a small Gillboy caricature. As with Typhon Studio offerings you also get a few little extras.

Not only a great model kit (with an excellent paint job), but a good slice of history as well. Superb!
