Kitbash of Sandy Collora Shark Hunter and MageCraft Lord of the Print Abishai Demon.

MageCraft team has been printing me some large size versions of their creatures.
First attempt at printing 15 inch tall Abishae Demon did not work, but I bought the mis-print torso for bashing.

Utilizing legs and arms from shark hunter with demon torso.
Will have to scratch sculpt feet/claws as shark hunter kit has feet grafted into rock base.
Will have to beef up arms and legs, and reposition legs for more aggressive pose.
Will add a tail from some other kit, not sure which one yet.

Starting with demon torso and arms and legs from shark hunter :


Here are what kits look like if built straight out of the box:




Started by beefing up biceps , and roughed in attaching to torso. Still have to detail.







Cutting out webbing between fingers.





Cut and trimmed down the lower hip portion to make it easier to deal with upper torso.
Also plan to change angle of lower hips , so had to cut it off anyway.

Decided to use lower half of shark hunter torso , as it will make using the SH legs easier.
Will reposition legs different from original shark hunter.
Just quickly attached the SH lower body, lots of blending in and detailing to do.

You really like your kit-bashes.

Roughly attached the shark hunter legs.
I wanted a lunging pose, but I couldn’t get it to look right.
So going with a predator-like crouched threatening pose.
Need to decide if I just sculpt in the feet with current single jointed leg, or go for a double jointed leg?

Started detailing where I modified and beefed up the legs and arms

Beefed up backside to better match beefed up thighs
Extended and cleaned up dread locks
Temporarily cut off front dreadlocks to slim down neck. Still need to add neck tendons.
Started detailing back ridges. Lots of detailing left to do.

Continuing to detail back, under neck, and chest.
Removed head fin
Roughed in additional leg segments and feet
Will also add a tail

Cut off back ridges and one dread lock to add spikes that match spikes on tail from Dragonheart model
Still have to slim down and detail roughed in feet

Working tail which is combined kits of Draco dragon tail and kothoga tail
Continuing to slim down and detail feet

I like the spikes, and those feet are looking good.

Still lots of work and detailing left to do.
Put the cut off dreads back on, attach the tail, beef up the abs, detail the beefed up chest, add a tongue,
….And then the dreaded painting phase

Replaced my scratch sculpted back spikes with the back spikes from draco model kit
Reworked abs
Extended back dreads, put the front cutoff dreads back on; still need to blend dreads in better
Continued to detail scratch sculpted feet and bottom leg segment
Need to attach tail, do a little more detailing, and then start painting

Continuing to work dreads, it is very difficult to get them to taper off evenly
Refining other spikes and details
I am pretty happy with how the modified legs, feet, and tail came out,
Tail is ready to be permanently attached after all the body details are completed.

Tapered wrist and Slimmed down where they attach to hands
Reduced and Slimmed down right shoulder
Beefed up triceps and under biceps to have smoother transition into forearms
Continuing to refine the dreads

Threw a coat of primer on to better assess what detailing I need to do

Really coming together now.
