I've never seen that skull face in the window in any scene that I've watched from the movie. Is there a story behind that variant of the ro-man??? 😉

I was going to ask--they always make fun of that monster but the skull face makes it looks great.

I like the base clapboard too.

I believe I figured it out! The skull face underneath the diver's helmet only appears in posters for the movie, which also point out something we might have forgotten, which is the original movie was made in the then popular gimmick of 3D.

But if you look at the ro-man in the movie, there is a round head behind the glass completely covered by a sheet that looks like rubber, with no features on it whatsoever.

It was The Mighty Kogar plastic kit and the client sent the resin head and base.
