The Great MAGA King

I spent Tuesday afternoon and evening painting up a great little name plate printed up for me by Tim Fortuna a couple of years ago, to distract myself while I (and the world) waited for the news to play out.

The name plate finally completed a customized 1/6 scale figure that I originally did back in 2019, combining the body and attire of a Roman General with an *AHEM* strangely recognizable head likeness.

All fun aside, I think this little project came off surprisingly well, and with the nameplate, it is now complete.

So, without any further ado, I present to you "THE GREAT MAGA KING"!!!

For the record, as this is a customized action figure, it doesn't technically meet the criteria for my FB model pages I am a member of.

Besides, it would be seen by a lot of people as gratuitously rubbing salt into the wound, and I certainly do not want to gain the reputation of being a troll.

Art should serve to bring us all together, and we should all enjoy seeing the work of other modelers. This particular bash was just inspired by some of those silly 'God Emperor' memes that were popular in 2017. I saw the head on ebay, and just couldn't resist the challenge of finding an appropriate body to do a similar figure in that vein.

I will say, I'm glad that I was finally pushed to complete it, after 5 years. With everything going on at home the past 6 months, navigating a life-threatening health challenge and operation that my wife went through, there's hasn't been much modeling time, and I have often simply not felt the urge.

Now I got to end this longest post, and get back to trying to glue the art deco rings around my latest Kong up top empire State tower.
