Needful Things Frankenstein on Stairs

I bought this kit seven years ago from an estate sale of late CH member John Petik. Originally painted in grey-scale I decided to redo it in color and posted about it here: viewtopic.php?t=126306

Produced by Needful Things in cold-cast porcelain, the 1/5 scale figure was sculpted by Terry Norton and the base was sculpted by Steve Riojas.

I don't normally do green-skinned monsters but this time I gave the figure a slightly greenish tint with some spot washes. And it may be difficult to see but he has one green eye and one blue eye because, you know, he's assembled from various body parts....

That turned out really nice! The pose is very different and dynamic.

Thanks Ric and Vlad.

The photography was challenging because the kit stands about as high as the back drop I use and there's a window directly above, so I couldn't get great shots of the face from below (you'd have seen the light blasting in through the window). I tried lying the kit down but that proved problematic because of the pose. As a result, some of the subtleties in the paint have been lost to the shadows...

*AHEM* Pay attention, Derek.

Why am I reminded of Monty Python's, "A wink's as good as a nod to a blind man"

What goes on behind those Persilux blackout blinds stays behind those Persilux blackout blinds.... :D :rolf:

Really nice despite the lighting problems. On the other hand all my photography sucks.

Thank you Rick and Marty.

Marty, unfortunately this kit is now out of production. Not sure when production ceased but it's probably somewhere around about 15 years ago...
