Rest in piece Todd Carolan

#1 Post by tay666 »

Just read the news on FB.
Todd had a heart attack and passed away on Jan 9th.

I don't think he was a member here, but I am sure lots of people have some of his kits.
Besides all the Iron Maiden pieces he did for Boxerdog this is a sampling of some of his work that I have

He is really going to be missed.
Here is his obituary

I just finished this peace by him June. It was the first and only kit I have of his. I was looking forward to more. I love how expressive this sculpt is. It's a favorite.

Yeah. I loved reading his posts on FB and listening to all the music links he posted.

Nice guy, very talented. I communicated with him a few times over the years and found him engaging. He'd been in a bad place the last couple years or so since the death of his son.

The intro on his Facebook profile, which I presume was written by his widow, reads "was born, was living, currently dead."

Nope, they were a happily married couple. He adored her and they enjoyed giving each other a bit of a ribbing.
He was an artist, and by conventional standards, a bit off. :D
So, it only stands to reason that his partner would be a bit unconventional as well.
FWIW - I think it is a suitable summation, and quite factual.
I mean, what do you say about someone that you have been with for 37+ years that just passed suddenly?

Nancy posted a video today of the display of Todd's work from his wake.
Not sure if people not on FB will be able to view, but here is the link to the post

They were always a high light of the Jerseyfest shows. I couldn't get him to make the trip to wonderfest
