H.R. Giger styled Palisades SE ALIEN

#1 Post by Danno »

Hey All,

I just finished painting the Palisades SE Alien bust. WHEW!!!! The prepaint was
awful, but the sculpt is darn cool! A great bust and with a little itty bitty bit of
work...makes for a cool addition.I used the paintings and concepts that H.R.
Giger did as my inspiration in color and detailing. So, here is what I came up with.

Thanks for stopping!

Yes sir, there is a clear dome...made of that vacuform plastic stuff. I removed it...repainted the skull, and frosted the dome to get that semi translucent look.

Excellent work, Danno. Super use of the browns and highlights. A friend of mine wants me to repaint his for him. I always really liked the sculpt, but not the paint.
Again, damned good job, man.

Dan,

Great work on this piece, as usual. I don't make it into the pre paints section, so I just saw this.

You have such versatile abilities, don't you?

Jumping from super clean, consistent, flawless, and beyond professional Bowen repaints to something as down, dirty, and realistic as an Alien...every time you post a piece it completely blows me away. Now, with this piece, you've showcased just how multi-talented you are.

Exceptional as always.
