Some conversions and repaints I've done

#1 Post by DanPerezStudios »

I wanted to share some conversions I've done, incorporating both resculpting and repainting of storebought busts.

Here is the Sideshow LOTR Moria Orc project. I wanted to resculpt the face to match the orc that snarls at Frodo in the scene where they are surrounded in the Mines of Moria.

Here is the finished, completely repainted orc:

I also reworked this Spock bust to be the alternate universe Spock from the "Mirror, Mirror" episode of Star Trek. The original:

The conversion (I also modified the base and created the decal of the alternate Federation):

Wow, great re-paints and customization.

I especially like the Spock. One of THE best Star Trek episodes ever and you've captured it perfectly on this custom.

Thanks. I used Super Sculpey for the orc. I use a lot of Magic Sculp epoxy putty in the conversions, too. It depends on how durable the part needs to be. The ears on the Catwoman are epoxy putty, for instance.
