New High On Fire album, " De Vermis Mysteriis"

#1 Post by Creature Core7 »

I picked up the new High On Fire album, " De Vermis Mysteriis" on Saturday. This one is a great blend of all their previous releases. Some of the songs are nice, slow and heavy on riff's like off their debut The Art of Self Defense. This band is the best power trio in metal, maybe just the best band in metal period. If you enjoy the likes of Black Sabbath, Saint Vitus, Motorhead, you'll dig this band.

This is one of my favorite tracks off the new one, titled "Madness of an Architect" :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRNvpKKR ... ure=relmfu

Anthony, De Vermis Mysteriis trumps Snakes For the Divine if you ask me, man. Frost Hammer, snakes For the Divine and Bastard Samurai were really cool, but the rest of the album was a bit of a let down for me. I'll bet that I've listened to De Vermis damn near twenty times all the way through in the last week. Cool cover art too, but I miss the cool stuff that Arik "Moonhawk" Roper does.

Dude, if you like this band, definitely get this album!!
