I like to sue MDF myself, I get the thin stuff from home depot. the base and wall for this figure was made from it . I just primed and painted it.

I think your more referring to how the historical size miniatures and related fantasy figures are done, I see it alot at the figure shows . I agree ,some of it is over done. myself ,I dont make my shadowing and highlights as bold as most, but its really just a personal taste. try it out and see how ...

I do the same as Jim ,but I dont use Pnuts.. I use pillow stuffing ,buy it in big box at Hobbylobby...doesnt allow the model to shift while in transit ,but its cushion for it for the hard bumps. always worked great for all the armor models I shipped ,even loaded with photo etch. dont recall having a...

Ellis, I usually use my airbrush for skin tones, but try diluted your paint ..using it straight from the bottle is too thick for miniatures..distilled water works best. build your tones up in layers..meaning, dont try and get the next tone with one swipe..once your base color is on...

Thanksguys... they say theyre airbrush ready, and most I had no problem spraying with my Sotar, there was a color or two where I added a drop or two of Vallejo thinner ,and then they sprayed perfect... no clogging spattering or anything..and they also worked quite well by hand brush too.. heres wher...
