Re: Burroughs 76 Kong with extended diorama base

Looks great. I am just now starting to develop my base making skills, so seeing your work just blows me away. Love that one shot from down by Kong's foot looking up. That is an amazing perspective shot. This. Those perspective shots give models the illusion of size. Not enough modelers utilize that...

Re: Burroughs 76 Kong with extended diorama base

Spectacular Jon! But, please don't show it to Scott Johansen! 😁😂😂😂👀 Thanks Vlad! Why? Its a running joke on Model Club TV when Jason says how much Scott LOVES that movie. 😁 (Scott actually HATES Kong 76 and says he doesn't consider it a Kong film 😂😂😂 And he's not wrong, BTW.) 😉 But your buildup of ...

Burroughs 76 Kong with extended diorama base

Here is a kit I just sold and added a base extension with Tamiya Soldiers to it. I have shown this kit before when I first finished it. It is a big resin kit by Burroughs Model Works, Here is a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJjzSDzR0do Here are some images: https://i.postimg.cc/Ny7qy0XN/Bur...

Re: Maddi Harryhausen Cyclops Commission

That looks awesome Jon, superb build and paint as usual and a nice change from scaly reptiles! I remember Terry Webb going ballistic over this kit when he reviewed it in AFM. I got he impression he's quite a fan of the Cyclops and maintained this was one of the best he's seen and I must agree, the ...

I bought one of these from Mike when he first released the kit.
Sadly, mine is still in its box waiting its turn on the workbench....
I remember the fit was exceptional.
Yes, it was flawless!

Maddi Harryhausen Cyclops Commission

Here is a video of the Harryhausen Cyclops for the 7th voyage of Sinbad movie. Sculpted my Michael Maddi, and this one was hand pour casted by him. He only did a few of them, and later Earthbound Studios began producing them. This one had a glass eye. It is a resin kit and stands around 11 inches ta...
