Re: Books. What are you reading?

Just finished A Night in the Lonesome October by Roger Zelazny. A fun little Cthulhu related book about an October in Victorian England climaxing in a group trying to open the gates to the Old Ones on Halloween night, and other group trying to keep the gates closed. All told from the point of view o...

Re: Books. What are you reading?

"Iä! Iä! Cthulhu fhtagn!" A little thread necromancy... A couple more autobiographies I've read (relatively) recently that I think people around here might be interested in: What's This Button Do? by Bruce Dickinson I actually read this one about 6 months ago so I don't remember most detai...

Re: New kitten

Any option of making her a little catio? Good idea, she'd like that. Not in this house though, but I'll keep it in mind for the next one. There's only 1 window where it might work but I think it would end up being a problem. It's a second floor window with a small roof overhang under it. Installing...

Re: New kitten

ONE YEAR WITH THE DONUT!!!! 1 year ago today we dug a little Donut out of my van's engine and I decided I had to keep her. She's a sweet and very smart cat. Easily the smartest cat I've ever owned. She's also very vocal. I think I hear more from her in a week than either of my previous cats said in ...

I always heard that as ""When you're going through Ohio, keep going!"

I guess it's the same...

Good luck everyone, have fun at the show

Re: Ticket Prices (back in the day)

I've only seen 6 concerts, and most of those were in the 80s and 90s. So my idea of what it costs to attend a concert is pretty limited and is mostly from a time I made less than $4/hour so even the lower priced ones were still a bit of a burden. I don't think I ever paid more than $35 though. My fi...

Re: QUESTION: PAINT??? what is everyone using NOW????

Mostly Vallejo model paints and Army Painter Speed Paints and their Inks/Tones. Some regular Army Painter paints but they are not as good as Vallejo so I stick mostly with the AP specialties. Atom Smartpaints are really nice but there are only 12 colors and I'm crap at mixing. A few from Ceramcoat b...

I'd be farther, but this little guy has been sucking up some time.

Re: New kitten

If you can't point out a superficial scratch or bite somewhere on your person...you're not a true kitten owner. I can not only point out the bite, I have evidence of the assault: https://i.postimg.cc/kBCWDnhf/20240630-173008.jpg Of course, one look in that face and you not only forgive the attack, ...

Re: New kitten

As they say, pictures or it didn't happen. Actually, I believe you, I just want pictures. I'm fine with turning this thread into a kitten picture thread. Weekly update: Donut's noticably larger than she was when we found her. With her size, her claw and knaw attacks have become somewhat painful. My ...

Re: Rin and Nadeshiko from Yuru Camp

Roughly 5.5 to 6" if they were standing. It's supposed to be 1/10 scale but I think it's a little smaller. The camera is not part of the kit, but is part of the source material so I found one on thingiverse and included it. It's a bit large compared to the other parts, but is also meant to be 1...

Rin and Nadeshiko from Yuru Camp

Yuru Camp/Laid Back Camp is one of my favorite anime. Easily in my top 5, probably top 3. When I saw a picture of this kit I immediately joined the sculptor's patreon to get the file. https://i.postimg.cc/JGGsJfXV/DSC-0019.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/VScvx5Vm/DSC-0024.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/xXmqpLg6/...

Re: New kitten

Week 1 update She is a very sweet cat. She follows me around to be part of whatever I'm doing. The meowing has dropped in both quantity and volume. I still get an earful when I get home from work since she was alone all day. After the first couple days, I think she realizes I'm not leaving permanent...

New kitten

The universes Cat Distribution System apparently decided I have been cat-less for long enough (my cat died in January). Shortly before 4 yesterday a coworker told me there was a cat in my van and it was very loud. As I walked out to the parking lot I sighed and knew I'd be going home with a cat that...

I got several busts (McDevitt Rhino and Hulk, plus a demon head), a few of the 3d printed comic style villains (Jack Torrance, Freddy Kruger, Terminator), a couple old Horizon kits I painted a ton of in the 90s for other people buy never had one for myself (Cable, Carnage), the Olivia Newton John fi...
