Terminator wall hanger
Here is everyone's favorite cybernetic, time-traveling killing machine with an inexplicable Austrian accent (seriously, if sentient machines can figure out time travel why can't they figure out programming a machine to speak English without an Austrian accent?!?!?)... but I digress. This 1:1 scale r...

Re: Terminator wall hanger
Here are a couple of 'extreme' close-up shots of the molten steel effect on the plaque. It turned out much as I has anticipated so I'm pleased. https://i.postimg.cc/vxcCHs0V/WIP-7.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/ctrP4SFF/WIP-8.jpg The heat effect was done with a base coat of white primer. I then used a cre...

Re: Terminator wall hanger
I finished the Terminator's chrome skeleton by using a chrome paint marker. In the past, I've used Molotow and they're still great paint pens, but this time I used one from Let's Resin and it's just as good if not a little better. I find fingerprints are less of an issue with Let's Resin's paint pen...

Terminator wall hanger
Back in early December I received a Terminator wall hanger from the 1990s that was produced by Global Marketing and may have been sculpted by Mike Hill. I'm hoping to have the project finished by the end of this month and it will be the subject of my next YouTube video. I like how it's shaping up (n...

Re: paint suggestions
Just my opinion, but I don't think there's really one 'must have' line of paint for skin colors. I start with a base color from a defunct producer and mix other colors into it until I get the exact shade I want. For light-skinned characters, my palette starts with a pale skin color, magenta, a pale ...

Re: Maddi Harryhausen Cyclops Commission
Wonderful!
I bought one of these from Mike when he first released the kit.
Sadly, mine is still in its box waiting its turn on the workbench....
I remember the fit was exceptional.

Re: 3D printed "Konga" head shatters to pieces!
Well, at least I don't have to worry about finding a place to display it anymore... Yes you DO! You're not gonna let a "model museum accident" ruin your masterpiece are you? Just get another replacement head and - FIX - the bugger!!! :mrgreen2: Nope - I hated that damn ape! It t...

Re: My 2025 completed projects
A small thing I guess, but I'm always struck by your ability to pinstripe.  It's not something I do often, Steve because it is a pain in the a** to lay down the making tape, but most times things turn out as I had planned... It really is hours and hours of tedium followed by a couple of ...

My 2025 completed projects
It was a relatively productive year for me. I managed to complete 14 projects - some of them commissions - and started shooting 'how-to' videos for my YouTube channel (which really slows down the painting process...). I already have a few projects in mind for 2026 as I work my way through my stash o...

Stranger Things 11 by Jeff Yagher and Paul Gill
My last project of 2025 only took 9 years (yes, nine!) to complete, but at least I got it done in time for the series finale. This is "011," a 1/4 scale resin bust sculpted by Jeff Yagher and produced by Paul Gill. It languished on my 'to do' shelf after I primed it and gave it an initial ...

Re: Billiken Dracula
Outstanding rescue work Derek, a paint job that really does the sculpture justice! I love the Billiken range, benchmark classics that still hold up today. Perhaps the Creature was the weakest in the line in terms of likeness, mainly due to its hands which are a little too big and its stance which l...
