Peorth - last kit of 2025

I did finish this before Christmas but didn't get round to taking photos. Peorth is a character from the Anime/Manga Ah! My Goddess series, one of the goddesses. This is the "childhood" version of the character. 1/6th scale vinyl figure picked up from a bargain box at ScaleModelWorld a few...

IPMS ScaleModelworld

Held last weekend in Telford, I attended along with the SciFi and Fantasy Special Interest group, putting on a display of our completed kits. These pictures are from around the show, where genre models are appearing in a higher number every year. This is on FB, so you may or may not be able to see t...

My Neighbour Totoro

A quick project, 3D print of King Totoro from the Studio Ghibli film. Don't know where it came from, it was a birthday present. The base is meant to give a suggestion of his forest home where he's waiting for a bus. https://i.postimg.cc/N53tQTPH/totoro-1.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/FY04zR2V/totoro-2.jp...

Re: 3D printer pens

I admire the skill - I've got a 3D pen, albeit a cheap one and find it difficult to do anything, even simple flat pieces. Definitely not as easy as it looks

Thank you. I wouldn't say I favour those subjects - my collection could be best described as eclectic - but I do have a soft spot for dragons and a small collection of gods & goddesses :)

Thank you. One of the reasons I follow and buy from R-One is that they produce original and unique subjects like this :)

Manticore Cub

I completed this little fellow at the weekend, a manticore cub from R-One Studios. Subtitled "Mythical Cubs", I don't know if he's first in a series but I thought he was very cute. Like everything I've got from R-One, excellent casting with very few seams and no fit problems - ok so only 3...

Very nice - has a feel of the draconian from Dragonlance series. I look forward to seeing it painted up

Re: If you could only choose one

Built would be a close call between Cellar Cast "Boris Valleho's Tattoo" and Kotobukiya Stormbringer. Tattoo is easier to transport safely so that may be the best choice

Re: The Morrigan

Still a work in progress but sharing some more pics. Some gaps in assembly needing putty, started shading and working on the face - not happy with the eyes at the moment. https://i.postimg.cc/GHFyVHtd/morigan1.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/DWZ4S6gw/morrigan2.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/zypRD6TQ/morrigan3.jpg

The Morrigan

Work in progress - I'm not great at taking lots of in progress pics but I'm happy with how this is coming along so decided to share. The Morrigan is a Celtic goddess of battle and war. A 3D print from CA Sculpts, 1/10th scale. The face at the front is to test out hair colours, https://i.postimg.cc/6...

Sadly he has no arms, he's a reconnaissance /explorer droid. Although you could probably attach a vacuum cleaner or duster, and he can get into small spaces to clean

That's not the droid you're looking for

This was the droid i was looking for actually - BD-72 appeared in "Return of the Mandalorian", an episode of The Book of Boba Fett. First baiting a whomp rat and then assisting the rebuild of a Nabooo starship (cool but hardly a replacement for the Razorcrest imo). Painted in acrylics, the...

Happy 70th Godzilla

Bit of fun - Mothra and King Ghidorah throwing a birthday party for Godzilla. Figures were from two sets of Bandai models which I picked up for £5 each at ScaleModelworld. In theory they're on wheels, in practice I messed up the assembly of most of them, so only flying Mothra actually moves. Cake is...

Ornithopters

Not figures, the aircraft from Dune. These are the two small ones - not sure of the scale, 144th perhaps. Atreides one is in flight, Harkonnen on the ground. Base was munged together from some bits of rigid foam and a texture medium. Thanks for looking https://i.postimg.cc/pmq9xyGj/DSC-7976.jpg http...

Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Two nice little figures, cold cast, come as kits with the paints. Some challenges but not bad in the end. Looking them up online, there's a set of three with Ron but I guess he's too boring to sell on his own... https://i.postimg.cc/Xp9RjF4c/DSC-7744.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/21mPV65p/DSC-7745.jpg ht...
